Too Cute for Words...I'm not Biased Am I?

I was able to catch her singing this one morning while I was getting ready for work. So sweet.

You're a good mom

This morning I gave Avi a bath, and I washed her hair. Drew usually dries her hair after her baths, but he was running, so I started drying her hair. Right after I started drying it, she looked at me and said, "You're a good mom." Can you say MELT my HEART?! I said, "Thank you sweetheart," and I gave her a kiss. SOOOO sweet. And, yes, she's been calling me mom or moms lately, unless she's whining, and then it's usually mommy. I'm not making a big deal about it, but it is strange to hear her calling me mom like she's a teenager! And for the record, I find it sad that on a Saturday morning we were up by 6:30, and she and I both had bathed before 8 for no good reason! I've been fighting getting up early on Saturday mornings for a long time, but I think I should just start owning it, especially since there is another one on the way! And, I promise the next time I post there will be some pictures involved!

It's a Girl!

Drew and I went to the doctor in Jackson last Thursday. We got a great report. The baby looks great so far, and we are having another girl! Very exciting. Of course, Drew's first response was "at least we don't have to buy anymore clothes." Ha, if he only knew it doesn't work that way! We told Avi she is going to have a baby sister, but I'm not sure she really understands. She did tell her Sunday School teacher Sunday that she was going to have a baby sister, so maybe she does understand! It will be interesting!

Valentine's Day

Avi enjoyed Vday this year. She especially enjoyed the candy hearts; if you can't tell she has one in her mouth in the pictures! She's in full "cheese" mode these days. I can't take a picture of her without her saying it, and she always raises head as she says it. On this day, I told her not to raise her head as she said it...the result equals the picture below!

She loved her Balentine's shirt, as she called it! She told everyone she had it on, as if they couldn't already tell by looking at her! Fun times.

Yes, It's true

So, if you haven't had a chance to watch the video below, I'll go ahead and share the news with you. Avi is going to be a big sister! I'm due at the end of July. I've been pretty sick thus far, and it still has not completely gone away, thus, the lack of blogging lately (sorry). Avi likes to tell people that she will be a big sister, but I'm not sure she has any idea how much this is going to rock her little world. We will hopefully be finding out next week if we are having a boy or girl. We didn't find out with Austin or with Avi, so this will be a new thing for us. I'll let ya know what we find out!! Please pray for a healthy baby...of course, that is the most important factor to us.

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of this. One morning Avi went in her room, and a few minutes later I heard her talking up a storm. I peeked around the corner to see that she was reading one of her new Mickey Mouse books to Amy in her room. As you can see, she was showing to Amy like her teachers show the books to her. It was pretty cute, but she had seen me at this point. I was trying to get a picture without her seeing me!
